Ascot Renewco Team Announced

Ascot Renewco, the specialist renewable energy unit of Ascot Underwriting, is pleased to announce the appointment of two underwriters to the team.

Roger Earnshaw is the Utility Underwriter at Ascot, and will assume the role of Senior Underwriter for Renewco. Roger has been at Ascot for 2½ years and previously worked at Axa. With an engineering background, he has the underwriting and technical ability to understand the complexities across the renewable energy spectrum.

Warren Diogo joins Ascot Renewco from Marsh’s Risk Consulting Practice where he led their climate change initiative for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Warren has developed and designed solutions for the clean and renewable energy industry working closely with project developers, financiers, traders and insurers.

Martin Reith said: “We are building a team with rare qualities and knowledge, investing in training and development to bring an all embracing product to the market. We are delighted they are part of our new venture and occupy the space of the first Lloyd’s specialty insurer in this field”.

Ascot plans further recruitment including consultants from the field. With a launch date of 1st September, Ascot Renewco will offer significant capacity and a one stop solution from shipment to installation to operating risks.
